The Sasa Vest, a fantastic 'go over anything' garment.
Posted on April 11 2014
Today i am wearing the Rant Sasa Vest, yet again. It is one of those garments that i feel so good every time i wear it. I think it is the drape and the the way it looks when you walk. The contrast Cupro/cotton fabric on the back is a subtle difference that has small pleats at the lower part of the side seams. This adds to the overall look, a long line vest that can be worn over most outfits. I like it over shoestring straps, short sleeves or long sleeves, they all suit this top layer. The Viscose fabric (plant based fibre) is prewashed in rainwater at the Rant studio and is easy care, just put in the washing machine if you have a gentle cycle, low spin and dry on a padded hanger in the shade. Now it is ready to wear again.
It looks great over the Triumph pants in the matching fabric, or any of the bamboo layers. The Poppy skirt is a nice slim shape under and if you add a Petal lace top it adds more texture.
The Sasa vest has two side pockets and ties at the waist that can be softly tied at the back to pull the back in a little, or there is the option to use the ties to make it wrap over at the front.
The Sasa Vest is a piece that will work for all seasons and many years. It comes in Black, Charcoal and Bark, all with black cotton/cupro back. You can buy it here at Sustainable Fashion.
