Supporting the Aussie Merino industry
Posted on May 10 2016
Since the weather is finally getting cooler here in Brissy, I feel its the perfect time to write about our Australian made merino jersey. To view our most current merino layers you can click here!
Our Merino wool comes from a certified organic cotton mill and is sourced from non-mulesed farms. Merino is a sustainable, renewable and biodegradable fibre grown using sustainable farming methods. Merino wool can hold up to 30% of its weight in water before feeling wet, therefore is often used for outdoor clothing and is perfect for humid weather. The Merino fibre has excellent pilling resistance and is extremely comfortable.
Our knit fabrics are all milled in Melbourne, Australia within two different mills. Our organic cotton and Merino are produced in a certified organic mill, which recycles 85% of its water. The mill is committed to improving and auditing their sustainable practices in order to deliver the best possible product. The farms from which we source the wool are independently audited and must comply with regulations set out by the RSPCA.
Our aim is to use as many Australian made fabrics as possible, to provide you with high quality sustainable fashion.
