I wanted to share the make up looks from the new RANT collection 'Enigmatic Guise' as I think they are awesome.

Penny Antuar is the master make up artist behind these looks and has worked with us over the past couple of years creating fantastic hair and make up at our photo shoots for both RANT and Bestowed. The upcoming  RANT collection 'Enigmatic Guise' is divided into 3 stories which have their own colouring and 'feel', so here are the 3 different make up looks.

The model is Jana Kruger, who is simply stunning, along with Penny and Todd Hunter McGaw (our trusty photographer) brought my ideas to life in this latest RANT collection which will be released later this month.

The first story is photographed with dark moody lighting and mostly black, silver and natural coloured garments, so Penny created this look with a natural looking face, highlighted with silver leaf eye detail.

The second story is brighter lighting so you can see the detail of the screen printed olive coloured bamboo jersey garments. The look is soft casual and comfy as most of the garments are our Australian made bamboo jersey fabric or an Australian made ethical Merino wool.

Penny added olive coloured eyes here, keeping a natural look on the rest of the face and lips. I love the way she matches the eye shadow colour to add more colour without looking too made up.

The final look is dark Inky colours as this story was Ink and black, soft Cupro fabrics mixed with other blends of sandwashed Cupro, Tencel, Viscose etc. All these garments are subtle textures and Ink/black tones which were photographed in natural light, giving it a very different feel to the previous stories.

Penny added dark blue colours for this one and the final touch was a 'wet look' gel over the top. It looked like someone had poured this gel colour onto her lids, totally awesome look.

I watch with amazement as these looks are created. I have no idea about make up looks, application etc these days as I haven't worn make up for many years now! I explain to Penny what I am after and she knows what to do. It makes photo shoots easier knowing that every time the hair and make up will be looked after and I don't have to think about too much detail, just an idea to start with, create some mood boards to show where I was coming from when the collection was designed, and... Penny does her thing.

I did get the photos back this week, so it will be many hours of going through them to choose the best ones for the digital catalogue. It's so hard to narrow down the selection because 90% of them are catalogue worthy and there are over 800 to choose from!

So keep an eye out on Instagram or the home page here to see a sneak look as we show some teaser pics over the next couple of weeks.

If you sign up to our newsletter you will be first to see the collection when it's released.

Cheers,

Sarah
