We have really enjoyed expanding our selection of Australian made goodies. Our latest addition to the store is a selection of linen tea towels and napkins. We found so many talented artists when we sourced our selection of stationery and a couple of them also create their art on fabric, right up our alley!

One of those artists is Trudy Rice. She creates her tea towels in Melbourne. They are digitally printed on 100% linen, cut, sewn and gift boxed by a social enterprise KE design who train and employ special needs people alongside their employees. We love that every part of the design and manufacturing has been considered.

The 7 designs we have chosen are of course native plants and birds. Being all Australian made and inspired they make a perfect gift especially for people overseas.

Besides being used as a tea towel they can also be a great table decoration or on a tray when serving morning tea. They also make a beautiful art piece to hang on the wall and enjoy. Corner block studio a small business in Brisbane make 'recycled wood frames' specifically for tea towels, just slide a piece on the top and bottom and they're ready to hang.

Three of the designs we also have available as linen napkins. They come in a set of 4 and will brighten up your table setting. Below is the black Cockatoo.

I love the Silver Princess as an alternative festive look, all Australian. It will brighten up your table on Xmas day but also any other occasion during the year.

The Silver princess eucalyptus, Acacia or Gungurra, is a graceful, weeping tree with powdery blue-green foliage. This striking tree sometimes referred to as the silver princess gum tree, displays fascinating bark and unique pink or red flowers with yellow anthers in late winter or early spring. They are native to Western Australia, but I have them in my Melbourne garden and they attract an array of beautiful birds life including the Wattlebird. - Artist Statement

The other combo we have in both the napkins and tea towels is the Garden Series. This is great if you want a brighter colour palette with a splash of purple and this one has a cute dragonfly too.

We ordered these a month ago because they are made to order. So they are now here in stock and ready to send. Gift shopping has never been so easy.

Cheers,

Sarah
