These Japanese cotton skirts by RANT Clothing are 100% Australian made
This skirt was designed to be a statement piece, something extra special using a vintage silk fabric. The base of the fabric is a silk Dupion which is decorated with bias strips of black or white stitched and overlaid in circles. The skirt has a flat front panel that has pockets inserted behind, the sides and back of the skirt is almost a full circle. The fullness swoops around from the front to fold into swathes of fabric at the back, looking spectacular when you walk.
Although you can wear the Synthesis skirt on it's own, it has been designed to match with the Banksii petticoat, with it's 3 metre ruffle fanning out from under the Synthesis skirt hem.

This style is prewashed in rainwater at our home studio.
FABRIC
Main: 100% silk with 100% cotton cotton bias decoration. Vintage fabric from 20 years ago.
Waistband: 100% Supima cotton, 145gsm Fabric made in Japan.
Elastic: 7cm wide soft knitted elastic, made in Japan
CARE
Handwash with care or machine wash if your washing machine has a gentle silk cycle. Air dry in the shade, no need to iron as the texture is best left natural.
FIT
Designed to be a comfy skirt with a soft elastic waist, which sits best when not too tight so you get a flat waistband look. See the guide below,
size small is good for waists 73cm - 78cm,
medium waists 78cm - 83cm,
large waists 83cm - 90cm.
Our model Zhoe is 175cm tall and wears size small.
