This style is pre-washed in rainwater at our home studio in Brisbane.
The Shallot Culottes are the most stunning shape, offering a super wide leg shape that mimics a skirt from the front. There is a deep inverted pleat at centre front and a small pleat on each side - these are held in shape with the pockets inside attaching to the front seam. This helps to keep the pleats in place and the fabric drapes from the waistband down to the hems.
The culottes have two front pockets which are lined with cotton and have a simple curved 'L shaped' opening. The back also has pleats, folding the fabric into the waistband but allowing it to flow. They look more like pants from the back as most of the fullness is focussed at the front and they do not have a dropped crutch, just a normal length.
The 7cm wide cotton waistband is elasticated with a soft knitted Japanese made elastic, which is then stitched in place all the way around with a random zig zag pattern. This creates a feature of the waistband if you choose to tuck your top in.
The midnight colourway is a very dark blue/black and the Jacquard weave of the fabric has a subtle botanical pattern. This fabric feels so amazingly soft and is a dream to wear. See close up image of this fabric to appreciate the beautiful woven jacquard pattern.
FABRIC
Main: 149GSM Jacquard fabric is Japanese made from 100% Cupro which is a regenerated Cellulose fibre, created in a 'closed loop' using left over cotton fibres from the Ginning process.
Waistband: 100% Supima cotton, fabric made in Japan.
Elastic: made in Japan.
CARE
Handwash or machine wash in cold water with eco-friendly detergent in a wash bag.
Lightly steam to relax the fabric, or simply wear them and allow the heat from your body to do the same thing.

FIT
Designed to be a very loose leg style, so the drape of the fabric is allowed to flow beautifully. Buy true to your size (see measurement chart) If you are in between sizes you can down size as the elastic is generous.
They are approx 112cm from the top of the waistband to the hem. This is 25cm longer then the shorter option.
Our model Zhoe is 175cm tall and wears size small.
Shipping
Orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday with a cutoff time of 11am (Brisbane time). All parcels require a signature on delivery. Please ensure your delivery address is suitable for receiving your order during business hours.
SHIPPING RATES
FREE SHIPPING applies for all orders greater than $200.
FLATE RATE shipping applies for other orders of $9.95 or $15 if you would like Express shipping.
LOCAL PICKUP
If you live locally and would like to pickup your order, use the code 'studiopickup' at the checkout to remove any shipping charges. We will contact you to confirm your order and organise a suitable pickup time.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
We are more than happy to accommodate any special requests for deliveries. For example if you have a safe place you wish your parcel to be left without a signature, include this in the notes section of the shopping cart (we are not responsible for any lost items though). You are able to enter a business address during the checkout process for delivery also.
GIFTS
We do have the option to purchase gift vouchers for your friends & family. A code will automatically be emailed to you and you can request a PDF to print that we will email separately, just request this in the notes section. Please note we are also happy to include a handwritten note with a purchase if you wish to send a present directly to someone special. Again include any details as a note and we will get in touch if there are any questions (don't worry we will not include a copy of the invoice with any gifts sent).
TRACKING
Parcels are delivered using Australia Post and tracking details will be emailed to you.
WORLDWIDE DELIVERIES
We no longer deliver parcels outside of Australia.

Returns
We are happy for you to return items for a refund or exchange. To organise a return, items must be unused and in original condition, so all tags must still be attached. Please take care when trying clothes on to ensure no pet hair or strong smells are present also.
COMPLETING YOUR RETURN
To complete your return, simply email us (contact@sustainablefashion.com.au) with details of your request and send your items to: Sustainable Fashion, 4 Warralong St, The Gap, QLD 4061 AUSTRALIA. Once your return is received, we will email you with a response.
FREE EXCHANGE
While you will need to organise your own shipping of the return item, to simply exchange for a different size we will send the first exchange free of charge.
We can also exchange for a different item if you like. Any difference will be refunded or if further payment is required we will simply send through an order to complete to pay for the difference.
REFUNDS
Shipping costs are non-refundable, but of course if an item is found to be faulty on return, all postage costs will be refunded. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.SENDING YOUR RETURN
We recommend using registered post when sending items back as we are not responsible for any lost items during transit.
Our policy lasts 14 days from the date you receive your order.
