Well a mammoth day was had yesterday when we did the photo shoot for the upcoming RANT spring/summer collection called 'Fade to Grey'

I have created a capsule collection mostly tones of black and grey, with a hint of green. The collection is made from Japanese cotton fabrics, Tencel, Cupro and our Australian made Bamboo jersey. So it's soft and flowing and all easy to wear styles. There is also a new 'zero waste' project that I have done using lots of special fabrics that I have collected over many years and waited for the perfect time to use..... more about that when we launch the collection on 18th September.

'Fade to Grey' is modelled by the stunning Rachel Waller who featured in the last RANT collection 'Remedy 2'. Rachel is such a pleasure to work with because she loves life and smiles all day. This is the first photo shoot where the model genuinely smiled all day so we photographed it that way.

The pics above are from our hair & make up artist Alarna Taylor who created the looks for the shoot, natural and fresh with nicely textured hair.

Below are some phone pics showing some of the set up for the day, I hope you enjoy this sneak look into what happens on a RANT shoot day. Todd Hunter McGaw is our awesome photographer as usual, turning my ideas into images. After 10 years of working together he knows how my garments work, the flow, the feel and what I am after. Each shoot is different and always evolving.

Jay had to hold onto the backdrop while we were set up in the park so it didn't blow away like a sail!

The last outfit of the day, all black and one I plan to wear over and over this summer. Rachel looked perfect in it.

The launch of 'Fade to Grey will be in two weeks time on 18th September.

Cheers,

Sarah
