Part of our 'Branching Out' in 2021 was to include new additions to our selection of Australian made garments, accessories and stationery.

We are now offering zero waste knitted garments by Luna Gallery. I've played with the idea of adding this beautiful knitwear for a few years and this year seemed like the perfect time. Bev who creates these stunning garments shares the same ethos as we do and Luna Gallery styles match perfectly with RANT. So this collection and photo shoot is combined with a small selection of Merino and Supima cotton knitwear.

In addition to the Luna Gallery knitwear we had some custom made striped bamboo socks made in Melbourne. After selling the plain bamboo socks for many years we branched out with 3 colourways in striped socks. 2 of them in our usual dark tones and one bright version that's ink, red & orange. These socks are a great basic for all year round and are a fine gauge silky feeling feeling sock. Australian made yet selling for only $10.

We have a new Ink colour in our classic Wool Nellie Pants & Wool Thea Skirts. These last many years and will keep you toasty warm in the cooler months without feeling bulky.

This season sees the return of our Plum Tunic from 2012. Made with Australian made ethical merino wool, they come in black, olive and charcoal marle. This was requested by quite a few people who wear and wear this style and have worn their originals thread bare! We love it when customers contact us to say they really need a replacement for their 10 year old favourite garments.

To keep your body toasty warm I always wear a merino vest. This year we introduce the Nest Vest. It's a luxurious merino rib (Australian made) and it's decorated with bands of printed and plain bamboo jersey. We did a little mix and matching to create some variety with a base of either black or ink merino rib.

The Essence Dress, a one size oversized layer dress is something to add to any outfit. It's been created from archive fabrics we have left over from a previous collection or two. The cuffs are organic cotton rib that's an off cut from making the Bestowed Harmony skirt waistband. The Japanese striped Tencel/Linen knit top is attached to a gathered skirt piece that was used in a version of the Levitate skirt in 2018. The Essence Dress is all about textures and zero waste. I create these styles as part of my archive project, where I am making styles from all the special fabrics I've collected over many years.

Finally there's a limited edition Interlude Scarf. These are made from an off cut down the side of a tunic we made in 2010. It's a soft silk/cotton fabric with cotton/metal bands on the ends, which make the scarf hang nicely as they are more weighty than the light main fabric. These are a generous 2m long and approx 35cm wide and prewashed in rainwater to crinkle up and add more texture.
