I am so happy to be able to present the latest RANT collection which is simply called Breathe. For insight into the creation of this collection and some behind the scenes pics you can check out the previous journal entry

Breathe is all about being totally comfortable while still looking great. Bamboo jersey tops, stretchy pants and skirts but not a loungewear collection (although they can all be worn that way). These styles all have a bit of a twist, details that elevate them above the usual basics.

I styled this collection mostly with the tops out over the waistband of the pants and skirts. The Lela tee in the new longer length, and the Lori tees are also shown worn out and rouched or bunched at the high hip line. I find this the most comfortable way to wear them and I like the disguising effect it has. They can all be worn with our Circle belt as an option or left plain.

We have a new limited edition pant style, the Strata Pants (pictured above and below). I found this amazing digitally printed stretch cotton fabric which I knew would make great pants. It's super stretchy, plus nice and gutsy. I put black denim pockets on them front and back, the same pockets as the Hilda pants. In fact they are very similar to the Hilda pants, same stretchy organic cotton waistband, same pockets, just a slightly different fit and not designed to roll up, instead having a wide 5cm hem. The black denim pockets are stitched with silver top-stitching and have a raw edge because I love the texture they get when they are frayed. The fabric was enzyme washed after printing to soften it, but like all cotton garments we make, these are prewashed in rainwater at our studio too.

The bamboo Leanne top (pictured above and below) returns this season and it's in new colours, Ink and Storm, as well as the classic black. This top sold out quickly in 2020 when we first did it, and I have had many requests for it since. So here it is, a top that matches so many skirts and pants. The Leanne is a top that suits all heights and sizes as you can adjust where it sits with the wide hip band and cuffs.

The Copper top (pics below) has got the most beautiful neckline. The twisted detail looks so good, making the most of the beautiful Australian made bamboo jersey. It's a classic style we do every few years in different versions. The Copper top has a 3/4 sleeve which we find our customers like as it's great for many seasons. Perfect for this cooler Autumn weather.

The new version of our trusty Helen pants are made from a beautiful feeling Japanese made stretch cotton. I have these pants in many fabrics myself as they are just so super comfortable to wear and make it easy to create an outfit with. The pics below show them with the storm Copper top and a Garnish Pouch for a little extra detail.

The Lori long sleeved top and short sleeved Lori tee version are both available in black and a nice grey-green colour we call Lichen. These tops are made from a luscious Supima cotton jersey that I love wearing. It's got a beautiful sheen and is perfect for layering or wearing on it's own. The pics below show the two versions and how they look worn out and bunched at the hips.

The new longer length option of Lela tee (shown below) is another great layering top made from a lovely soft modal jersey, that is Australian made also. It's like a very lightweight version of our bamboo jersey, perfect to pop under things or create a sleeved outfit on it's own. Below the ink version is shown with the Helen pants, and the black version is matched with the Mist midi skirt.

The longer length of this new new version Lela tee enables you to create a great base outfit like when paired with something like the Vera pants (pics below). You can then layer anything on top, knitwear, tunic, vest, sleeveless top...

Yes, knitwear looks great on top and I have also created outfits with new cotton versions of Luna Gallery pieces, but I want to write a separate journal about them in a week or so.

A couple more special pics from the day.

Above is our Min Woo Bang painting. As you walk down the hallway this is what you see. Sometimes I like to get up close and look at all the details, the texture of the linen it's painted on, the trees and of course the moody sky. I wanted to have a pic done here with the Strata pants from behind because they match the storm print so well and I wanted to share it.

Thanks for reading to the end,

Cheers

Sarah
